Stay tuned for Campus Collect-a-thon, hosted by the Makerspace! From September 1 to 30 (as supplies last), visit sites around campus and learn about their services to receive a sticker with a QR code. Scan the QR code with your phone for a surprise – collect ALL the stickers to be entered into a draw for a gift card!

Whether you're stepping onto MacEwan's campus for the very first time or diving back in after summer, we are ready to help you hit the ground running – with tips, tools, and support to set you up for success!

Find Your Stuff
- Student ID: you'll need the mobile student ID card for accessing printers on campus, signing out books from the library and more.
- Textbooks: generate a booklist from the MacEwan Bookstore! Textbooks are also available at the library, with some caveats.
- Equipment: browse our equipment catalogue and see all the different tools that can help with your assignments and projects.
- Locker: find an empty locker (without a Reserved sticker), put a lock on it and register it online through myPortal OR launch the locker registration application.
- L-Pass: unlock free access to streaming media, language programs, audiobooks, and more from the Edmonton Public Library!

Find Your Voice
Come to the Writing Centre for help with your writing assignments! Drop by or book an appointment either online or in-person for one-on-one support with one of our trained Writing Tutors.
- Access online writing guides and videos to help you write an introduction, understand a thesis statement, organize your paper, and much more.
- Prefer paperback? Check out our new resource shelf in 6-202! Titles can be signed out at the Library Services desk, or with the MacEwan Library Checkout App.
Want to work on your conversational skills? Join MacEwan International and the Library for Tea Chat Tuesdays in the Global Lounge. (Details are below Upcoming Events)

Find Your People
You don't have to go through school alone – there are many ways to connect with others:
- The Students' Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) has many clubs for you to choose from. Learn more about their Fall Fest welcome event.
- Download the Student Life app (Apple/Android) to find Student Life events, connect with other students, and join groups that share your interests.
- Check out MacEwan International for support, resources, fun events, and chances to meet fellow international students!
- Visit kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre, where the bannock is warm, language and culture are celebrated, and your identity is strength. Connect with peers, university advisors, Knowledge Keepers and Elders.
- Connect with the Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity to participate in workshops and events, meet academic role models and peers, learn about courses with a focus on 2SLGBTQIA+ topics, explore spaces and more.
- Find peer support to talk about whatever is going on in your life.

Find Your Space
The library has many different spaces to suit your needs. Whether you're gathering your group for a project or study session or buckling down by yourself, we have a study room for that! Check out our library map to see which room is right for you. Please note: the study spaces have different noise levels.
Beyond the library, check out:
- The Spiritual Reflection Room for a space to meditate, pray, and decompress.
- kihêw waciston Indigenous Centre, is an open-door gathering place with quiet study areas, an open-use kitchen and cultural spaces.
- Explore the Common Room at the Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity.
- The SAMU building is home to the Students' Association and includes fast food restaurants, student services, and common student lounging and study areas.
- The Centre for Sport and Wellness includes a fitness centre, indoor pool, hot tubs, steam room, and more.
- Get to know the rest of campus

Find Your Chill
The library isn't just for studying and completing assignments – we've got plenty of ways to help you de-stress, have fun, recharge, and keep moving forward throughout the semester, including:
- Puzzles and games, available to borrow through the Library Services Desk.
- Looking for someone to play with? Drop by the Writing Centre for word games every second Wednesday from 2:30pm-4:00pm.
- Free movies and films that you can stream through the library whenever you need a study break.
- The Makerspace (Room 201-V), where you can explore everything from 3D printing and vinyl cutting to sewing and coding, with support from our amazing our Makerspace tutors.
- Wellness Animals Giving Support (WAGS), which offers structured animal-assisted interactions that enhance student well-being, social connections and community-building. Spend time with the dogs, connect with others and return to your day feeling refreshed – no sign up required!
Beyond the library, engage in sports, swimming and more at the Sport and Wellness Centre, and check out SAMU's calendar for fun events!
