Q: What if I lose or replace my MacEwan card?
A: Report a lost L-Pass registered MacEwan card to Edmonton Public Library as soon as possible. An Edmonton Public Library staff member can assist you to reactivate your L-Pass on your replacement MacEwan library card.
Q: Do I have to register for this service each year?
A: Yes. Your L-Pass expires each year on August 31st . If you are still a student or employee of MacEwan University as of September 1st you can register again for L-Pass. For example, a current student registering for the L-Pass on November 20, 2012, will have an expiry date of August 31st , 2013.
Q: I am a student registered in the winter session and will continue my studies in the fall. Can I access EPL services during spring and summer sessions?
A: Yes. L-Pass accounts expire on August 31st each year.
Q: Why do I need to give personal information to the Edmonton Public Library to register for an L-Pass?
A: EPL requires this information to set up your account in its system. Your personal information will not be used for any other purposes.
Q: I tried to register for the L-Pass but was unsuccessful. What do I do?
A: Contact any MacEwan Library Borrower Services desk for assistance with registration.
Q: Can I register for L-Pass at the Edmonton Public Library?
A: Registration for the L-Pass is only available through the L-Pass registration page.
Q: I am currently an EPL member and card holder. Can I use my existing EPL PIN with L-Pass?
A: Yes. Existing EPL PINs can be used. If you do not have an EPL PIN, you will be asked to create one for access to online services.
Q: I have forgotten my EPL PIN. How can I find out what it is?
A: You can use EPL's Forgot your PIN? service or call any EPL branch to receive your PIN over the phone. Confirmation of your card number and other account information will be required.
