Avoiding Plagiarism

When (and why) do I need to cite?

Always cite any sources that you use in your assignment. This includes: books, articles, websites, blogs, social media, email, lectures, interviews, video, audio, etc. Citations help your instructor trace your information back to the source. Using, quoting, or rewriting information, data, creative content, or ideas, without giving appropriate credit to the speaker, author or creator is called plagiarism.
