About the Makerspace

The Library's Makerspace is located in room 6-244C. The Makerspace is hiring Student Technology Tutors! Apply by September 12, 2021.

Purpose: to provide access to technology and support for MacEwan University campus community members to explore the potential of creative technology for their studies, research, teaching and learning, personal and professional development. 

The shell of the new Makerspace will be complete September 7th 2021, however, it will take us some time to get set up and offer services. For September and October 2021 you can visit the Makerspace Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am-2pm. 

What is available: 

  • Vinyl cutter - Will turn any digital image of a line drawing or graphic into a vinyl sticker - more details
  • 3D printers - You can send a file to be printed or ask about printing something at 3dprinting@macewan.ca
  • Borrow 360 cameras, Raspberry Pi and Arduino kits, GoPRos and Google Cardboard VR goggles at the library services desk
