Personal Statement About this Work
This was the first book I read about Physical Geology back when I started my undergraduate studies. My first physical geology class turned out to be quite an experience: I was being taught the principles of plate tectonics and I found myself so amazed by this that my heart was pounding, my eyes were wide open trying to process everything... back home when I started reading this book, it further enhanced my excitement and curiosity on the Earth's dynamic systems, which determine many of the amazing things we see in nature, such as threatening volcanoes and earthquakes, or beautiful landscapes and precious minerals.
